Syrian “MDC” and Saudi “Cyfer” Sign Agreement to Establish Syria’s First Data Center and Cybersecurity Operations Center

In a major step toward Syria’s post-reconstruction digital transformation, MDC, the technology arm of White Room Holding Group, announced the signing of a strategic agreement with Saudi-based Cyfer to establish Syria’s first Tier III Data Center alongside an advanced Security Operations Center (SOC), within an investment package valued at tens of millions of dollars.
The agreement reflects a new level of Syrian–Saudi cooperation in the fields of technology and digital infrastructure, aiming to build a secure and reliable digital environment that supports the country’s growing digital transformation needs across vital sectors.
In this context, Eng. Hadi Alaa Eldin, Executive Director of MDC, stated that the center will provide a fully integrated ecosystem of cloud hosting services, cybersecurity protection, and 24/7 digital security operations for government entities, banking institutions, and private sector companies, while ensuring full compliance with digital sovereignty standards and local data hosting within Syria.
For his part, Mr. Yamen Al Shami, Chairman of White Room Holding Group, emphasized that this agreement marks a strategic launch for the Group’s post-reconstruction projects and represents a significant step toward supporting Syria’s digital economy and attracting regional technology investments, contributing to the development of digital infrastructure across Syria and the region.
